I gotta do a bit of research, but I'm pretty sure they have indeed had a panel something like this at some con or another. Give me a few days ... I'll dredge up some links.

And well, that's why I'm writing specfic and not looking to Hollywood to provide me with what I want.

I think fiction often has to ease power imbalances between individuals and groups, so that we can empathise with both. How the creators do it ... that's the key. Are we made to feel sorry for them and want to save them, are we made to see one individual as magically special or wise, or is there a real equalisation?
