--Killa and Hafital's elegant, aching tone poem of a Duncan/Methos vid.
--Melina's heartbreaking Lord of the Rings vid, followed by her fiendishly hilarious Lord of the Rings vid.
--Ruth's gracious and capable (and invaluable) help with my Dealer room table. Go, Ruth.
--Falzalot's dubbing of my jewelry wares, with cheerleading by KadyMae, as "Devo!Bling!". I am so proud. *wiping eyes*
--The moon, rising hugely over a hill's edge at sunset.
--Ventura's charming Main Street, with one of the nicest bead shops anywhere. Hanging out with Janis and Tom Sunday evening in a little coffee/tea joint overlooking a cozy, pretty mews.
--The much hugging of the old HL crowd (with some lovely newer additions). The Thurs night party in the balcony suite de Maygra, Cinel, and la Diva Macgeorge. Watching vids and Till Death in Melina's room.
--The french fries at the hotel restaurant. Extra crunchy!
--The (!) chocolate fountain! With strawberries!
--All the lovely con goodies -- copies of the vid show at the Sunday breakfast, the pretty little badge holder thingies, the $5 coupons for the dealer room, the just generally effortless negotiation of con logistics (from the user standpoint, anyway)...
--Smart, smart, smart, smart women. With lovely, logical, passionate, considerate conversations. And hugs.
--Laughing with Ruth about our idea for a scatalogical take on Vulcan Mating Rituals: Pon Fart.
--Rache's heuristic: pretty, snarky, angsty, commeraderie-y. Damn, it works. Love how it works out that the really good shows have good marks in all 4 categories (for me, these include the Whedonverse, West Wing, and Boston Legal), but the ones we tend to write fic to are ones where there is a hole or crisis in one or more of them -- for example, a break in the commeraderie... that demands a "fix" (Highlander is a major case in point.) Also got pretty clear that a show without any snark or wit at all won't hold my interest long.
