This has already made it around to LJ's from a list post I made, but I might as well put it here for maximum exposure. Please spread the word.

Someone is selling, *selling* stories by Maygra, Rac, Meg Wittenmyer, Paige
Foster, Kelly Matthews , Smut Grrls (sometimes misspelled Smu Grrls) etc,
on this site.

Needless to say, they didn't get permission from these authors. Rac caught it and wrote them a letter asking for her stuff to be removed. If you are a fanfic author, check it out. Hopefully with enough of a stir, they'll take this down.

Thanks, Elflet. The update on the story is, many letters were written, to isp, owner, etc, and as of this morning the site was taken down. Go, fandom!

Keeping an eye on them

Since this was being served up under a "personal" account somewhere, we'll have to keep an eye open to see that these folks don't re-emerge. It would be pretty easy for them to find a new ISP and bring the site up again.

At the same time, one of my friends had many of her stories offered for sale on the site and she's passed the information to her lawyer, who she retains for just this purpose.
