This has already made it around to LJ's from a list post I made, but I might as well put it here for maximum exposure. Please spread the word.

Someone is selling, *selling* stories by Maygra, Rac, Meg Wittenmyer, Paige
Foster, Kelly Matthews , Smut Grrls (sometimes misspelled Smu Grrls) etc,
on this site.

Needless to say, they didn't get permission from these authors. Rac caught it and wrote them a letter asking for her stuff to be removed. If you are a fanfic author, check it out. Hopefully with enough of a stir, they'll take this down.

How about going after their ISP?

The domain name registration details are here: <http://www.samspade.org/t/lookat?a=a1fl.com> The address is registered through homechoice.co.uk. The IP address of the site a1fl.com maps to is 207.142.128.52, which is an address owned by Cogent. Cogent's abuse address is abuse@cogentco.com, and their abuse hotline phone number is 1-877-875-4311

The authors can write to the abuse address, and state that they require their works be removed. (For Cogent, mention this is a DMCA "Digital Millenium Copyright Act" request.) The ISP will give the site two choices -- remove the pages or be shut down. (I had to use a DMCA request against someone once and it was exceptionally effective.)

The authors should also check Google qand other search engines for references to the illicit pages and send in DMCA request emails to have them pulled from the search engines.
