My father said today, "A year or so ago, Rush Limbaugh (who he never watches or quotes, normally LOL) said that 'if they pick John McCain, he'll tear the party apart'." Let's hope Limbaugh had a clear vision for once.
Did you watch the convention last night? We watched all four nights, gavel to gavel. I was riveted each night. Best damn convention I've watched in over 30 years. And Barak's speech last night? One HELL of a capper. One of the best speech's I've had the pleasure of listening to. The man's got even more sheer light oozing out of him, creating charisma and power, than Bill Clinton ever had...and I loved Bill once upon a time. But the difference is clear to me: Barak is filled with light, while Bill's power came from an open heart chakra. We need that light now to shine through the murky depths of current politics and our greed filled culture.

I have joyous hope again for this country.

McCain made a very poor choice. I don't mean to malign the woman; I'm referring to his "political" choice. He's hoping to reach disaffected Hillary supporters, but all he's done is make his ticket look weak. Any Hillary supporters who vote for him because his running mate lacks a Y chromosome (and I know at least one of those) will be made up for by the undecideds who see a ticket with an old man and an untried woman. I'm delighted with his choice.
