Glad you are enjoying Alberta. Been watching the weather channel and wondering if the T boomers were affecting your visit.
Alberta thunderstorms can be beautiful thangs. So can the heat lightning that fills the sky in sheets.

Oh yes, we watched a storm along the huge prairie horizon for the 2 hours it took us to drive from Lethbridge to Calgary Wednesday evening. It's so flat there that you can see things for a gazillion miles. The huge cloud banks rolled across the sky, and we could see lightning, but also, the grey streaks of rain, and sunlight streaming across those at a different angle. As the sun set, all of the above started changing colors. This went on for a long time as it didn't become full dark until 10 pm. A very loooong dusk. Beautiful.
