Put my downpayment down on my solar array.  The gamble is whether or not they'll be able to get through permitting to get the job to the tax-deductable stage before the end of 2012.   If not, I'll have to wait a year to get the tax credit.  Keeping my fingers crossed!

Oooh, how exciting!

I assume I've told you already that I had a 1.25Kw array installed on my LV house, back in the day. I loved it. It ran the house most of the time, unless the A/C was on (or, uh, it was night *g*).

you did, and your argument for "on the grid" solar convinced me to go that route. :)

Oh, right. *g* Sorry, I don't always remember what I've said to whom.

Yay, solar!

um. i don't know? but he said it would cover 95% of my electric use, and as I had a house-mate most of last year, the year the numbers were figured on, I expect it will be 100%.
