Years ago I found someone was broadcasting Samuel Pepys diary day by day via RSS, and you can just subscribe and read his 500 year old entries on your friends' list. *g*

Good idea from a "good ways to teach people about history" perspective.

Bad idea from the "oh my god, why can't we FIX this, why can't we change things, why why why *sobs*" perspective.

So, yes. Very fascinating. Probably soul-eating, too.
