honey and sting

we've been having the most wonderful storm here -- for a while, the sky was orange, then apricot, then pink -- we were inside a cloud, all soft light, with the late sun suffusing it, and lightning, and an apricot-tinged rainbow in the east, and beyond that, blue sky. VERY blue.

i looked up at my skylights and saw pink light coming through. weirdest thing.

my roses will be very happy with the rain.
