lizard in the house
about 7 inches long.
runs from me when i try to shoo him towards a door.
ideas? he's kind of cute, but... i don't think there are enough bugs in here for him to be happy for very long.

If in doubt, call the local RSPCA ... dang, what do you guys call it? The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals? They should be able to tell you how to get it out without harming it, or if it's likely to find its way out.
I don't mind green lizards so much. They mostly stay out of the house. I detest the white lizards, which are fast-moving and easily scared (and when scared, they tend to drop on you - eugh!). They hang about near curtains and other hiding places to eat insects attracted to the lights at night, and mess up the floor below with their droppings :(
