I live with my 80-year-old mother, who, like Methos, is, at times, easily amused.

A few minutes ago she opened the door to my room and said, "In the 60's, they said Hippy New Year!"

Quiet. We didn't go down to Skyote this year, stayed up here in the Pacific Northwest. Celebrated midnight on 2nd Life dancing up IN the fireworks! Mostly I'm reading & note-taking for the 3rd essay. Some pretty strange stuff actually - ever come upon Boris Sidis' 1898 book The Psychology of Suggestion?
