devohoneybee at 12:50am on 20/09/20141. the taste of one of the 5 honeycrisp apples made by my baby tree. crispy, honey-sweet, juicy, just the perfect amount of tart.
2. Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor. i didn't want to like him. I really wanted Hellen Mirren. It was time for a female Doctor, and she was interested, and it would have been amazing. Despite all this, he's won me over. It's like the writing has ratcheted up a whole bunch of notches, but I actually think it's just him. He brings a bit of the flavor of Nine back -- unpredictable, mysterious, trace of melancholy without being whiny. Love it.
3. Late garden blooms -- cosmos, some kind of orange wildflower, a late crop of tomatoes now that it's cooler. The aforementioned apples. Sitting outside in the evening, New Mexico sky holding it all in a perfect matrix of light.
