I just saw Spike Lee's film of the musical "Passing Srange" and I REALLY like it. Aired on Showtime.

If you can find it, do yourself a favor. The themes are art and love and how they are and aren't the same. The music and book are GREAT -- post-modernly playful, without losing its heart.
