... but good friends made it okay.

Yesterday, all day, I walked around with the thought, "I should drink more water" but somehow never quite got enough. PEOPLE, HEED THESE WARNINGS.

I went to bed with the feeling of a migraine coming on -- not that unusual a circumstance -- took appropriate meds and figured that was that. Er, not so much. Woke at 5 and didn't stop throwing up for HOURS. At 7:30 called a local friend. She came over, took one look at me and said, "do you think we should call an ambulance?"

The very nice paramedics came -- a LOT of them -- I think there were 8 people in my bedroom, not sure, couldn't really focus on anything. They got me in to the ED where I got oxygen, IV fluids and anti-nausea meds in IV form (I had taken something but it hadn't stayed down long enough to help). After a few hours I was fine and came home and slept the rest of the day. Up now, feeling tired but otherwise okay.

The nicest part of the day was the first friend helping me, a neighbor leaving a voicemail asking if I was okay, and another neighbor coming over just now to check on me. She had tried to ask the ambulance people what was up, but they hadn't told her anything.

Oh man, though, I think I'm just going to carry a water bottle around my neck on a lanyard from now on. BLECH. Glad that's over!
