Sad to say, at this point, military culture is synonymous with rape culture, for BOTH men and women. Proportionaly more women get raped, but because there are more men in the military, more men get raped than women. As someone who works with military veterans, I can tell you that rape and sexual harrassment and assault are SEVERELY under-reported because the current system for reporting is structured to punish the victim. Tell Congress to take the reporting of sexual assault out of the chain of command, so victims aren't trapped in repurcussions for "making the unit look bad." Please click on this link and sign today.
