wood flooring question
Has anyone had experience putting in wood floors?
The guy who will install it for me showed me 3 options:
solid wood
engineered wood in an attractive wider width - pre-finished
bellawood -- engineered, pre-finished
Using the solid adds cost because of the different sort of glue involved. I like the idea of solid wood, but he says the engineered woods are more likely to fit, less likely to warp if there's water damage, and have a 25 year warranty.
The solid, on the other hand, has a lifetime warranty. Seriously, 100 years, transferable to the next owner.
I'm going with a natural red oak. Advice, please?
