Barb commented to me in chat last night that keeping a grudge is like holding on to a thorn in a tight fist.

Freedom

thorn held tightly
in bleeding fist
which is stronger?

thorn claims nettled sting
fist has adamant control

both trapped
in the moment
of their triumph

freedom is the willingness
to lose
everything
