whinge: I have to have a colonoscopy later today, and the prep got a little dicey this morning when it turned into severe abdominal cramping. For those folks at home who may be facing a colonoscopy in your future, this does not usually happen. It's a little extra special trick my system does because of past misadventures. Fortunately, a friend helped me calm down during the worst of it, and the pain is thankfully gone now.
giggle: which led me to celebrate and soothe with a bubble bath (Origins "Ginger Burst", which I recommend highly). And, against the usual policy, turned on the jacuzzi jets and got into the tub (generally a good idea to keep the jacuzzi pipes clear of "stuff", but today was a well-deserved exception). So, the effects of constant jets on bubble bath? The BUBBLES just got bigger, and bigger, and bigger.... until they were up to my CHIN, with me sitting up.
Which, yeah. That was fun.
ETA: back, drugs were good, there was no discomfort with the procedure. They found a few polyps, which they snipped and will biopsy, but aren't expecting them to be anything. Also a few ulcerations near where I had surgery in 1983, but a bit of disease return is expected right at the anastomosis site, and I'm pretty sure those spots have been there for at least ten years, without causing problems. So, that's pretty much it. Glad that's over!
