It's raining so loudly on the roof (to be fair, the skylights) that I can't sleep. It was so loud that initially I thought it might be hail, but no, just a very large amount of rain, very fast.
Earlier, thunder shook the house. I went out the front door for a while to watch from under the overhang, and the lightning literally blinded me for a brief moment. Vision went completely WHITE. Guess that's what happens to dark-adapted eyes with bright lightning diffused over a sky full of clouds.
WHITE.
No lightning now, or I wouldn't tempt fate by being online. Just lots and lots and LOTS of rain.
Sometimes you just have to keep vigil, even if you don't know for what.
