Gaddafi says the French, Brit, and U.S forces are a "Crusader" attack. He has a point.

... Why are the Arab nations not participating in this action? Why does it look like another western/European colonial effort?

Don't get me wrong -- Gaddafi is a deranged tyrant who has to go. And yes, the Arab League endorsed this action, and there is "some" Arab participation. Just... why are these old patterns so persistent?
