One of my flist, the delightful Karen Lord, just got a VERY positive review in the New York Times book section for her debut book, Redemption in Indigo.

And may I add, it's a wonderful story from one of our own. Redemption is based on West African folktales, but doesn't stop there. It's as if Karen finds the voice inside the voice of those stories, and makes them fresh, original, and new.
Brava, Karen!
