If Ever There Was a Time For Love, This is It

There's a bit of news/science/speculation about the possible implications of the BP oil disaster under the cut that I'll warn anyone reading this was extremely anxiety-triggering for me.

Nevertheless I'm re-posting, for those who want to consider this, on the premise that it's better to know what one may be dealing with, than to not know. Ultimately the response I'm coming to (with a bit of work, so still somewhat aspirational at this point), is that IF EVER THERE WAS A TIME FOR LOVE, THIS IS IT. If ever there was a time for the opening of the heart, and the pouring of love, prayer, and light for the healing of the earth and the transformation of our relationships with each other and all life, this is it. If ever there was a time to realize the breath-taking beauty of what is given to us in each moment of our existence, for as long as we are given to have that existence, this is it. If ever there was a time for grace, for peace, for completely shifting gear to another level, this is it.

What's under the cut is alarming, if true. It may not be. In either case, it's time for a real awakening. And only we can do it. It's time for it matter, THAT MUCH. Because it does.

and on a MUCH lighter note.... i present: awesome fruit salad recipe!

from a street vendor salad i got yesterday:

fresh large chunks of the following:

fresh young coconut
watermelon
mango
orange
pineapple
jicama
cucumber
cantaloupe
honeydew melon

tossed with salt, red chile powder, and the juice of tiny lemons that he squeezed with a tool like a garlic press, but for tiny lemons. (i had him hold back on the salt, but i'm including for accurate reportage of the options -- it was great with just the lemon juice and chile powder.)

served in a plastic bag with the top rolled down and a plastic fork.

DEE-licious.

i'm thinking any fruit salad, with the chile powder, salt, and lemon dressing, would be amazing.
