Why I love New Mexico, reason # 23

I had a new water heater installed a few weeks back, and was told that the city will need to send an inspector to look it over. So I was given today as the inspection date, with an "all day" window. Needless to say, most of "all day" is working hours, though I do get out early on Fridays. I was given a number to call in the morning to request a late time slot.

Well, at first the guy says, "sorry, we don't have time slots in the way you need." Then he looks at my address and says, "you're neighbors with my in-laws, and we usually visit them late Friday afternoons. I can come by then."
