Turns out not all fruits and vegetables are equally problematic with regard to pesticides. Here's the top 10 you need to worry about, if you aren't getting pesticide-free produce:

1. Peaches
2. Apples
3. Sweet bell peppers
4. Celery
5. Nectarines
6. Strawberries
7. Cherries
8. Kale
9. Lettuce
10. Grapes (imported)

The lower items are on the list the less of an issue it is to not get organic (for example, avocados with their thick skins are okay, but surprisingly, bananas are not), but in any case the top 10 should be avoided in non-organic form.

I mentioned this a while back. I am sponsoring a workshop in Albuquerque this week for Ger Lyons, an amazing healer. Ger is from Ireland originally, and travels the world doing these workshops. I attended about 5 of them when I lived in L.A., and got a lot out of it. VERY hard to describe, as it's an experience I really don't have a lot of prior referents for, and things are happening at a number of different levels (mental, emotional, spiritual) but mainly it's about ENERGY... and about the blocks that show up when energy starts moving through, and how limiting beliefs maintain those blocks, and can be released in a kind of prayer process...

Uh, that's clear, right? Let's just say.... it's a transformational experience. For me, it hit me most strongly at the level of ancestors - especially my grandmothers. *handwaves* Again, hard to describe... but it was like, I was carrying the energy of one of my grandmother's death around in my body, resulting in certain unexplainable and unpleasant physical sensations... and the process of the workshop they released, and never came back. I also experienced an expanded sense of possibility in my life, and more self acceptance... and a greater sensitivity to energies in groups of people, as well as how to be aware of those energies but not be swallowed up by them. To maintain my own distinctiveness, which comes back around to greater self acceptance.

Anyway, he'll be in Albuquerque -- starting Thursday evening with an intro, then the workshop itself Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday. Check out his website gerlyons.net for more, and if you are interested can't make it to this one, there might be another one coming to a city near you. *g*

Email me at the number on the website if you think you might want to attend all or part of this.
