honey and sting

I woke up this morning to see big, fluffy snow flakes coming down outside my window. This necessitated going outside and knocking the accumulated stuff off the little miniature daffodils that have popped up (this is my first spring in this house, so watching what comes out of the ground is an adventure and delight). They are about 5 inches high, total, and just like daffodils but, you know, smaller. Each was bent over under the weight of a big snow HAT.
