Update on last night's post:
I don't even know how to SAY this -- she, um, said yes. MY BOOK OF POEMS IS GOING TO BE PUBLISHED.
I couldn't even post this last night, I was in too much shock. Because, yeah... the "yes" and the contract arrived within, well, let's see --
Chronology:
8:52 pm: send manuscript as email attachment
9:05 pm: get response thanking me, and advising she won't be able to really look at it until Dec 19th.
9:09 pm: send flaily email back.
9:16 pm: she responds: "I couldn't help looking at the preface and the first couple of poems. It is wonderful. I have no doubt we'll publish it."
9:27 pm: she sends me a contract.
And now I'm in the "oh my god, contracts" learning curve.
NO. SlEEP. Still a little shocky. Maybe a bath will help. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
