my new shiny show

Is anyone else watching John From Cincinatti? It's a new HBO show, in case you don't know of it, and has played 3 episodes so far. Tonight they are running all 3 so people can catch up. It has the trademark HBO grittiness, quirkiness, and very fine acting. Rebecca de Mornay and Bruce Greenwood are particularly good. I adored Greenwood from Nowhere Man, and he has aged very nicely into this role as a patriarch of a surfing family. Surfing Bruce, very fine!

"John" as the autistic/spiritual savant is intriguing. Alien? Angel? Nowhere Man redux? Discuss, please! :)
