The series has 2 more finished books in the pipeline, and troutkitty has some story ideas percolating while she writes in another universe for a while. The characters just get better and better. And the *world*, the magic of it, just gets more and more interesting, too. The series is called Masters of the Lines, and posits that vampires do more than drink blood -- they manipulate earth line and sexual energy to keep it all in balance. Each vampire has their own talents, based on a latent form they had as humans. While vampire society has its own distinct hierarchies and rules, the predilections of individual vampires don't always match the given order. How the characters work out the discrepancies (who likes power, and who is happier in a more surrendering position) brings sizzle and complexity to the story.
