honey and sting

Today at work during a meeting that includes about 35 people, a man I don't know much about spoke about how his son had been a student at Virgina Tech, in the engineering department, and staying in the dorm that got the worst of it. How last year when his son dropped out, he was rather unhappy with him for a while, because it seemed as if his son was giving up on a good opportunity, that he, the father, had spent a lot of money to help him have. But how thankful he is now that his son wasn't there, that, as he put it, "God took him out of there."

Life is interesting sometimes.
