honey and sting

So, two days ago I found out I need to fly to New York this Wednesday to testify on behalf of a client. I've been frantically preparing since then -- writing and reviewing notes, trying on "suitable for court" tailored suits, digging up *bleh* pantyhose, locating the right, unobtrusive jewelry, packing, and taking care of things I would have done on Wed through Friday.

I don't usually do this kind of post, but seemed to want to this time.
