Been a little while since I updated... In the last two weeks, my mother had surgery (from which she is recovering nicely, though not fast enough to suit her), it was the first anniversary of my father's death, my computer crashed (I'll know tomorrow if data is recoverable off the hard drive), and my new comptuter had to be sent in for repairs because it kept slowing to a crawl within a minute of boot-up (it's under warranty, but more than 30 days since purchase... I just hadn't gotten around to switching everything over to it yet).
All of which adds up to quite an intense emotional ride.
Daddy, I don't want to see you
in the cemetary.
I've got good memories and bad,
but none that live in a grave.
Are you somewhere else now, or simply
gone? You never believed you'd live
beyond this life. On the contrary,
you hoped, rather strongly, for an end.
Who am I, then,
to preserve you?
Adamant. In bitterness and joy,
in friendship and despair.
When it came to it, you'd had enough.
You shouted your way
to the other side.
