... by the delightful chelle, who made me this Methos icon as a thank-you for a recent poem I posted on Rog-L and ODM. Thanks, chelle!
In other news, I've been down with a sore throat -- no other symptoms except a little fatigue. Not behaving like a cold, just a sore, sore throat. I'd run off for a strep test except I STILL have not received my Cobra letter and for all intents and purposes have no insurance now. I looked into the LA Free Clinic but you have to, basically, stand in line for two hours before they open to get in and I'm just not up to it. Also I don't have fever or other infection signs so it's pretty unlikely. Still, the life of the albeit temporarilly uninsured? Not fun.
I've secured a chiropractor appointment which I think will help (my intuition voice kept pestering me in my ear yesterday about it -- What a yenta!) I think I basically crashed, after many days of fretting over my mother's health situation. She is feeling quite yucky from a benign tumor on her parathyroid gland, which surgery is supposed to help -- but the logistics of getting said surgery arranged are proving formidable and frustrating. So, here's the deal -- how do you be a caregiver without going out of balance, energy-wise, oneself?
Much to learn -- then again, that's why I came here.
