My stuff is due to arrive on Friday. I assembled my new pilates machine today and tried stuff on it for about 7 minutes. A great machine!!! I'll do a 20 minute work-out tomorrow, but wanted to start slow, as the simplist stuff made my muscles shake in very short order. This is a Good Machine. It really does feel, as they promise, that you are both strengthening and working with flexibility in the same movements. And working abdominals, no matter that you *think* you are moving arms or legs. Unfortunately, Mom's VCR tried to eat my tai chi tape yesterday (it took the satellite dish installation guy to jiggle it out). So I'm going to wait till my things are set up to try the exercise tape that comes with the machine. I think I'm going to name him Fred. *love*
Working to resolve Mom's medical issues -- progress is being made, I'm happy to report. We are hopeful, though it will still be a bit of a haul until she feels better.
Beading going slowly but satisfactorilly. I take a fair amount of time on each piece.. hard to get production line about it, though I may need to for the Escapade table. I tend not to want to do the same design twice, which means a lot of time is spent figuring out the next design. It's also hard without having my full complement of supplies, as, for example, today's design is missing about 3 inches that need to be filled in with similarly colored, smaller beads, and I just don't have them with me (coin-shaped but smaller rutilated quartz beads, in a golden hue, center bead is an antique, long faceted carnelian, two fancy gold vermeil beads on either side of it).
Reading "The Good, the Bad, and the Undead" -- Kim Harrison's sequel to Dead Witch Walking. So far it's good but not fabulous. It will sing me to sleep well enough.
*looks fondly at Fred*
I love my new machine. :))))
