honey and sting

Mom had her 4 hour test today -- they shot radioactive juice into her and then took pictures in a big doughnut in intermittant series for the next nearly 4 hours. Trying to see how her parathyroid gland is doing, which I learned today is actually a series of glands that spread out around the neck and chest and can vary in location from person to person. The computer image was totally cool -- it showed dots of light emerging out of the black, with concentrations, where, I presume, the glands are. Remember the image of Peter Gabriel at the end of one of his videos where he stands up and is all made of stars? Like that. We'll get info tomorrow from her doctor.

In other news, my sister transferred ownership of her beloved old Honda to me today. Mom is sending me to some sort of healer tomorrow -- an MD psychiatrist whose website boasts past lives regression. She says he cured her of an eye problem. Who am I to disagree, even if the website does look a bit cheesy to me. His voice is nice. The appointment is in Malibu... I can almost hear my New York friends thinking, that's it, didn't take her long to go *really* California on us.

What can I say? I'll report on effectiveness, post meeting.
