Yes, the sun is shining. Yes, it was 80 degrees F yesterday, and promises to repeat. Yes, the sun is pouring in through the wood slat blinds right now. Well, between them. Making pretty little stripy shadows on the floor.
Mom is doing a LOT better after a 3rd cortisone shot to her spine (she has 2 pinched nerves). Her humor and playfulness are back in full play, as well as her asthetic wonderfulness (she's helping me with beading design decisions).
Heard from two sources today re: checks I've been waiting for -- both will take another week to get to me but I'm relieved to know they are on their way. Waiting news on a 3rd. Yesterday was a little iffy, digestively speaking -- first time since being seriously ill in October and November that that was a problem, but much sleep and bland foods seemed to do the trick, and I'm gently moving around again today into projects (strung some really gorgeous, deeply colored moonstones, peach and deep grey, today, with silver spacers. Really pretty, in a kind of grown-up elegant way.)
My "stuff" is hopefully LEAVING NEW YORK today. It's been sitting since Dec 28th, apparently, supposedly waiting for better cross-country weather. *grumble* There is much muttering of imprecations. It's due to arrive the 26th or 27th. We'll see. I am scheduled for an doctor's appt that took me 3 weeks to get, on the 27th. I hope I don't have to mess with that. So, the 26th would be nice.
Escapade looms, happily. I've taken a table and will be coming with beaded wares. Really needing my boxes to get here with my more affordable beads in them. The pieces I'm making now would be pricey -- I brought my bestest and prettiest beads with me on the airplane, you see.
And, fandom! Looking forward to seeing my fangirl friends, and being one myself. Who's coming?
