Still raining. Still coughing. Many logistical details (can't get sister's old car, soon to be mine, towed for repair until I have driver's insurance. Can't get that reasonably till I have Cal driver's lic. Can't get that till I have new copy of social security card. Yes, social security card -- "after 9/11," the DMV person said, as if that was self explanatory. Can't print copy of social security card application until can either figure out how to download Adobe reader to my mother's computer (takes too long on slow dial up, and there is general courtesy issue of not downloading programs to another person's computer) or figure out how to hook up my computer to her printer -- that shouldn't be too hard.)

Etc.

Dell guy coming tomorrow to replace wobbly parts. (Screen, touchpad, and keyboard all went wonky within ten days of warranty expiring - at least they didn't wait till AFTER it expired.)

Asthma meds making me jittery, and I'm still seriously congested. Other meds making me tired.

Whee.

On a good note, living with Mom yields ENDLESS supplies of chicken soup. But I mean, seriously *good* chicken soup. It's like, the endless soup pot. It doesn't matter how much you take, there's always MORE. Which is feeling very good right about now. Oh, and also, there was a blood test result for her that may indicate a cause for her fatigue -- a treatable cause. More when we get more info confirmed. Keep your fingers crossed.

It stopped raining long enough for a really spectacular near sunset -- porcelain blue sky, white clouds transcending softly to pink as the light faded... great big fluffy midnight blue rainclouds off in a polite distance with golden lit edges...

Okay, it's pretty here. Throw out your arms and go "wow", pretty.

Found a "breathing" tea at the health food store and seem to have stopped hacking for now. My lungs are raw, which I think is more metaphor than anything else... sometimes it just hurts to breathe. But damn, air feels good when you get it deep down in there.

Devo, loopy on a few too many chemical life aids (2 prescription inhalers, 2 prescription pills--for the Crohn's, one OTC cough suppressant, and herb tea, in case you were wondering).
