Hit the Natural History Museum today -- with a focus on the Native American jewelry special exhibit. Gorgeous!!!! Especially the newer pieces of inlay -- Hopi and Navaho. Went to the Argentine steak restaurant... for their amazing chicken soup (large chunks of chicken, spinach, and onion -- yummie).
Lovely dinner last night with Susan and David. Sweet company, Tuscan cuisine, what could be bad? I had a kind of risotto with a "hardier grain" whose name I don't recall, chestnut, leeks, and sweet potato. Oh man. Dessert, too -- a delicate apple tart with ginger sorbet. *thunk*
Contemplating the Frick, tomorrow, if it's open. Would like to see the big oil on wood painting of St. Francis of Assisi outside his cave with all the amimals around him, again. Still feeling sedated most of the day -- strongly suspect it's the meds as I start to feel like a human being by mid-late afternoon (taking the meds in the morning, the ones that supposedly have "no side effects.") Yeah. I'm 3 weeks off prednisone, and that was only 30 mgs so the "it's the prednisone withdrawal" explanation for the fatigue is starting to fail to convince. Will see if I can switch to a nighttime dose, but probably won't reach a doctor I can ask until after Christmas. It hardly warrants an emergency call. At least I can come off one of the 2, the more likely culprit, in early Feb.
Felice Navidad? How is everyone celebrating? I rented Bruce Almighty and Ocean's 11. Leonie is coming over in a bit -- to peruse my plants and possibly adopt them. (Very nice, hardy jades! If I didn't kill them, nothing will!)
